Lip Blush in Brickell, Miami

Soft, natural-looking lip color that lasts. Lip blush (also called lip blushing or a lip tattoo) uses a pigment custom-mixed for your skin tone and applied one-on-one by our owner, Mina, in our private Brickell studio.

What is lip blush?

Lip blush is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that places a sheer, custom-blended pigment in the lips. It evens out patchy color, softens an uneven lip line and gives you the look of a tinted balm that doesn’t wear off. At The Miami Beauty Bar every lip blush uses your own pigment, mixed for your natural lip tone and the shade you want, from a barely-there nude to a soft rose.

Is lip blush right for you?

Lip blush is a good fit if you:

  • have pale, uneven or patchy natural lip color
  • want more definition along your lip line
  • are tired of reapplying lipstick through the day
  • have darker or very pigmented lips and want a brighter, more even tone (we start with lip neutralization)

Please don’t book if you: are under 18, are pregnant or nursing, are diabetic, take blood-thinning medication, or had Botox or filler in the last 3–4 weeks.

If you get cold sores, ask your doctor about preventive medication before your appointment.

Before your appointment

At least 24 hours before your visit, email a clear photo of your lips in good light, with no filter and no makeup, to [email protected]. Mina uses it to plan your shade and confirm lip blush will give you the result you want.

Your lip blush appointment, step by step

Plan for about 2 hours 30 minutes.

  1. Consultation: we talk through the look you want and choose your shade.
  2. Custom pigment: Mina mixes a pigment for your natural lip tone.
  3. Shape: your lip shape is drawn on, and you approve it before anything starts.
  4. Application: color is built up in light layers for a soft, even finish.
  5. Aftercare: you go home with clear aftercare instructions.

Healing: what to expect

  • Days 1–3: color looks brighter than the final result, and lips can feel slightly swollen.
  • Days 4–7: lips flake and peel lightly. Let it happen and don’t pick.
  • Weeks 2–3: color can look faded while the skin settles. This is normal.
  • Weeks 4–6: your true color shows, and your touch-up perfects any lighter areas.

Results typically last 1 to 3 years, depending on your skin, lifestyle and sun exposure. Miami sun fades pigment faster, so use a lip balm with SPF.

Also popular: ombré and hair-by-hair brows and permanent eyeliner.

Lip blush FAQ

How long does lip blush take?

About 2 hours 30 minutes, including your consultation, shade choice and shape approval.

How much does lip blush cost in Miami at The Miami Beauty Bar?

Lip blush is $399.99 with the owner. A touch-up within 6 weeks is $149.99, or $199.99 at 7–12 weeks.

Will lip blush look natural?

Yes. Your pigment is mixed for your natural lip tone, and you approve the shape and shade before Mina begins. The color looks stronger for the first few days and softens as it heals.

Do I need a lip blush touch-up?

Most clients do. Healing can leave lighter spots, and a touch-up evens them out. Book it within 6 weeks for the lowest price.

Can you lighten dark lips?

Yes. Lip neutralization ($299.99) brightens dark or very pigmented lips so the color you want shows true.

Does lip blush hurt?

Most clients describe it as discomfort rather than pain, and Mina works at your pace, with breaks whenever you need them.
